The centrality of environmental communication: act, communicate, involve

Listening to plant operators and analysing the authorisation cycle of some new infrastructures, it emerges that projects that are technically valid and objectively useful for the environment, but which have an impact on stakeholders (both citizens and administrations that base their legitimacy on consensus) often fail to come to fruition or suffer serious delays due to opposition from the public. It is on this issue – too often ignored and underestimated – that a recent conference organised by SEAM engineering focused.
