AIM OF THE PROJECT

Site safety management at execution stage during the significant modification of the biological section and of the sludge disposal section of the wastewater treatment plant in Milano S.Rocco. In anticipation of EXPO 2015, the project aimed an increase of the treatment capacity: extension of 200.000 PE for a total amount of 1.250.000 PE. Flowrate 12.000 m3/h in dry periods, 40.000 m3/h in rainy periods.

ACTIVITIES

• adjustment of site safety plan (PSC: Piano di Sicurezza e Coordinamento)
• verification of companies’ operative safety plans (POS: Piano Operativo di Sicurezza)
• operative management of interested areas during construction
• verification of the application of the provisions specified in the safety plans (PSC and POS)
• presence on site for at least 15 h/week
• reporting and communication to the customer and the site manager
• drafting of the construction dossier

• activity in confined spaces: definition of access procedures
• coordination of the activity with plant managers to ensure service continuity
• installation of a tower crane (70 m)
• tanks remediation activities
